Hemp leaf is one of the traditional Japanese patterns
“Asa” means hemp and “ha” means leaf.
It is a geometric pattern based on a regular hexagon and is named as such because its shape resembles a hemp leaf.
Since hemp is a hardy plant, capable of growing fast and straight without requiring much attention, the Asanoha pattern became a symbol of healthy growth.

Hi, I’m Aviram 🦏
I’m an artist based in Tel Aviv with a deep passion for Kendama—a traditional Japanese skill toy. I’m the founder of Kendama Israel and Rhino Clear, where I combine art and craftsmanship to create Kendamas that look great and play even better.
Every Kendama is hand-painted and carefully inspected by me to ensure top quality. Most of my time is spent in the workshop experimenting with new designs and techniques. When I’m not painting, I’m teaching, playing, and sharing Kendama at our Tel Aviv shop—helping grow a vibrant local community.
Kendama has brought me joy, creativity, and connection—and I’m here to share that with the world.
